Resurfacing – A result for all heading to Reading

Reading Council appointed Kiely Bros to complete a surfacing scheme across 18 sites of various sizes before the end of 2020. The work undertaken included planning, a binder course, ironwork adjustment, surfacing, loop cutting & boxes and finally lining.

This was completed during night and day and under road closure. Here you can see our trained operatives conducting the surfacing operations under our NHSS16 accreditation.

High quality HRA was used across all sites from a locally sourced supplier, mitigating the carbon footprint for this scheme. For the final stage, the road marking was completed by our own road marking division using new machines consisting of a multimark, screed and hand lay crews.

The attention to detail can be seen here, with all work completed within the council’s timeframe.
